Description
A student project about the 1850 scandal involving Emily Pillsbury Burke, the principal of the Ladies' Department at Oberlin College. Burke, a widow, was accused of kissing a male student and was dismissed. This project includes several documents related to the scandal and the workings of the college in the 1850s.
