Tappan Square Boulder Excavation by the Class of 1898

Description

A photo of the boulder that was excavated by the Oberlin College Class of 1898 and placed on Tappan Square, across from the Conservatory. The class presented the boulder as their gift to the college. Since 1962, the 1898 boulder has been one of the three boulders that are regularly painted and repainted by college and community members alike.
