Contribution Terms of Service

You are invited to contribute your recollections, your images, or other items to the Oberlin Community History Hub, which is building a digital archive of Oberlin’s history. Your participation in this project will help document this community’s rich history and will offer resources that will be useful to anyone who seeks to learn more about Oberlin.

Submissions will be reviewed on a weekly basis.

Your submission of material constitutes your permission for, and consent to, its dissemination and use in connection with the Oberlin Community History Hub in all media in perpetuity. If you have so indicated on the form, your material will be available on the OCHH website. Otherwise, your response will only be available to approved researchers using the Digital Archive.

Any material you submit must have been created by you, wholly original, and shall not be copied from or based, in whole or in part, upon any other photographic, literary, or other material, except to the extent that such material is in the public domain. Further, submitted material must not violate any confidentiality, privacy, security or other laws. Anyone who believes that material has been submitted in violation of copyright rules can consult our takedown policies here

By submitting this material, you grant the Oberlin Community History Hub an irrevocable and nonexclusive license to make use of the materials. A non-exclusive license transfers no copyright and the submitter otherwise retains all other rights in the materials subject to this prior nonexclusive license. By submitting the materials, you certify that you are the creator and/or copyright holder and have full authority to grant this license and have exercised appropriate diligence in creating the materials and capturing any images, likenesses, and/or other inclusions of possible third party copyrighted materials.
